Chef Joshua Riazi is the Chief Operating Officer at the Culinary Hub of Providence (CHOP), a restaurant and training facility located within the Providence Public Library. With over two decades of experience in Providence’s culinary scene, he leads CHOP’s mission to provide hands-on training for aspiring chefs, reflecting the diverse cultural backgrounds of the Genesis Center’s students. Chef Riazi’s innovative approach integrates global flavors with local ingredients, creating a unique dining experience that supports both culinary education and the community.

Celebrate culinary excellence at the Culinary Hub of Providence with a special dinner benefiting the Jacques Pépin Foundation and Genesis Center. Hosted by Chef Joshua Riazi, the evening begins with a cocktail hour featuring petit fours crafted by Chef Beau Vestal of New Rivers, and Jaques favorite — bourbon — cocktails created by CHOP beverage director Sophie Syzch, followed by a globally inspired four-course dinner. CHOP chefs Joshua Davis and Matthew Weston, in collaboration with talented culinary students from the Genesis Center, will present a multi-course menu highlighting coastal New England ingredients reimagined through Rhode Island’s rich global influences.
