Join us for a joyful harvest celebration where the bounty of the farm meets the sparkle of Oregon wine. Hosted by Chef Sarah Schafer of Grounded Table — a restaurant rooted in regenerative sourcing and a deep connection to the land — this lively walk around tasting soirée features eight of the Willamette Valley’s most acclaimed sparkling wine producers, each pouring their finest bubbly.

Savor seasonal, farm driven canapés, small bites, and desserts crafted to honor the farms, fields, and harvesters behind every bite. Held at Stillwater, The Ground’s newly renovated historic venue in downtown McMinnville, the evening will be filled with live music and a warm sense of community.

Part of the Jacques Pépin Foundation’s 90/90 Dinner Series, this event honors Jacques’ 90th birthday and his favorite drink —sparkling wine — while supporting the JPF’s mission to make culinary education accessible to all. Join us November 8 to raise a glass to the harvest season, community, and a culinary legend.

Sarah Schafer

Chief Culinary Officer, Grounded Table

Sarah Schafer’s culinary journey began in her family’s kitchen in Boston, inspired by her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother’s memorable chicken soup. Encouraged by mentor Ken Oringer to “go all in,” she became the youngest and first female sous chef at Gramercy Tavern under Tom Colicchio, later refining her craft at Eleven Madison Park and exploring molecular gastronomy as Chef de Cuisine at Frisson in San Francisco.

She went on to lead kitchens at Anchor & Hope and Portland’s Irving Street Kitchen, forging deep relationships with Oregon farmers and honing her skills in Italy’s pasta traditions. In 2023, Sarah became Culinary Director at Humble Spirit, now Grounded Table, embracing the challenge of building a restaurant rooted in a regenerative farm.
