July Round-Up

Who can resist a summertime soirée? No matter where you are in the country, the produce is never better than in the good ole summertime, and chefs love to make use of the exquisite ingredients of the season! We were very fortunate to have four fantastic venues host memorable dinners in support of the JPF’s mission in July.

As summer heated up, so did the Jacques Pépin Foundation’s 90/90 Campaign! From JPF Grantee organizations to intimate gatherings with culinary legends, each host raised vital funds and awareness for culinary education initiatives that change lives.

The sun was shining on the JPF in April as eight restaurants dear to the Foundation — DANIEL, Perini Steakhouse, Oberlin, l’escale, Yono’s, Centrolina, Donahue’s Madison Beach Grill and Briscola Trattoria — hosted memorable tributes to Jacques in support of our mission.

A busy calendar of dynamic celebrations, many with representatives from Jacques Pépin Foundation Grantees in attendance, made March especially mission-driven for the 90/90 Campaign.

Feeling the Love at February Events

Gatherings in Florida and Tennessee spread the 90/90 celebration through the south. Chef Maneet Chauhan and Chef Brian Riggenbach hosted a four-course brunch in Nashville. Miami’s Sereia featured a six-course meal from top chefs. Chef Norman Van Aken’s gala at Norman’s in Orlando closed the month with elegant, heartfelt celebrations.

The 2025 celebration of Jacques’ 90th birthday is off to a smashing start, with several fantastic events in January. And, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also tell you about one of our favorite moments from the end of 2024: Jacques’ 89th birthday dinner! Here’s what’s been going on since Jacques turned 89:

A Warm Welcome for the JPF in Boston

The Jacques Pépin Foundation family spent a busy week in Boston. Jacques, Claudine, and Rollie attended impactful events, inspiring people to cook. Jacques joined Jody Adams at WGBH for a fundraiser on culinary education. Meanwhile, Rollie taught “Introduction to French Cuisine” to BU MET students, nurturing culinary education at many levels.

Our dinner at Gramercy Tavern on Sunday, October 6, 2024 was absolutely magical, with Jacques himself in attendance, and friends of the Foundation and coming together to #celebratejacques in marvelous fashion.
