Homeward Bound of Marin

As Marin County’s main provider of resources for homeless adults, families and veterans, Homeward Bound welcomes approximately 1,000 people per year through their 18 programs. They provide safe accommodation, compassionate support and job training for people who are experiencing chronic homelessness.

Fresh Starts Culinary Academy is the flagship job-training program at Homeward Bound. They provide 11 weeks of active training to low-income adults from the community as well as participants in their shelter and housing services. Students work hands-on in the Fresh Starts kitchen to build core skills and knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment and food safety.
