Jess Shadbolt and Angeles Chavarria
Chef Jess Shadbolt is a British born chef, restaurateur and soon to be cookbook author. Along with her partners she opened King — a restaurant that changes the menu daily — in 2016. In 2018 Jess was one of Food and Wine’s Best New Chefs. King gained a two-star review from Pete Well’s in The New York Times later that year.
Chef Angeles Chavarria began her career in New York City working under James Kent at The Nomad Hotel. Soon after joining King, her love and passion for Southern French food shone through and she soon worked her way to becoming King’s beloved Executive Chef.

King is relaxed, simple and elegant. From the dining room’s muted tones and white tablecloths to the ever-changing offerings steeped in traditional flavor pairings and techniques — it is both a neighborhood restaurant as well as a celebratory destination. Chef Angeles’s menu for the 90/90 celebration will pay homage to Jacques Pépin’s hometown, Bourg-en-Bresse, and their traditional celebration of La Fête du Vincuit.
