Susan Feniger

Iconic culinarian, author, and entrepreneur Susan Feniger may be best known for her Modern Mexican Border Grill restaurants, trucks, and catering. The James Beard Award-winning chef also co-owns SOCALO in Santa Monica; fast casual eateries BBQ Mexicana and Pacha Mamas in Las Vegas; and Alice B., a new restaurant at Living Out in Palm Springs, with her business partner Mary Sue Milliken.

Classically trained at the CIA, Susan has co-authored six cookbooks, is a veteran of nearly 400 episodes of Food Network’s popular Too Hot Tamales series, and successfully competed on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. In 2018, Feniger and Milliken were named the recipients of the Julia Child Award, marking the first women to be honored.

Feniger is an active member of the community, and currently sits on the boards of the LA LGBT Center, Scleroderma Research Foundation, and LA Tourism & Convention Board.
