Timothy Tucker

Chef Timothy Tucker was born in Springfield, Illinois, and graduated from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky with a degree in Culinary Arts.  He began his career working at restaurants such as The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas and The Painted Table in Seattle, but truly found his calling at The Salvation Army Center of Hope homeless shelter in Louisville, where he created a program to teach culinary basics to underserved populations.

He has established culinary arts training programs in Miami, Florida; at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Boston, Massachusetts; and is currently Director of Culinary Training Programs at The Salvation Army Golden State Division in San Francisco, California.

During summers, he is also the chef at Three Mile Island on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, and is the Chef for the Miles of Music musical camp retreat.  He is also co-author of the book Destination: Chef. He resides in San Francisco, California.
