Napa Valley Celebrates Jacques Pépin’s 90th Birthday

Chefs, vintners and friends from the Bay Area are thrilled to welcome Jacques Pépin to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys as we join him in commemorating his 90th birthday with an 11-day series of special celebrations. We hope that you will look over the exciting events we have planned and spend some time with us in honoring this extraordinary chef, artist, teacher and friend.

Perini Ranch Steakhouse

For 40+ years, Perini Ranch Steakhouse has preserved the legacy of Cowboy Cooking with authenticity and elevated the experience with the highest quality beef, unmatched setting, and outstanding service. This 90/90 event will be held in conjunction with the 20th annual Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit. Chef Jacques Pepin, along with Claudine and Jean Claude were our guests of honor at the event in 2011 and was such a memorable event for both us and your guests. We are honored to salute them this year!

Enjoy an evening of exquisite food and wine honoring the legacy of Chef Jacques Pepin. Dominick Purnomo and Culinary Director Ian O'Leary will welcome guests with a Champagne reception with canapés before inviting guests into the dining room to enjoy a wonderful 4 course dinner with wine pairings by Managing Partner & Head Sommelier Josh Turo.

Centrolina

Authentic, regional Italian cooking and seasonal availability is the inspiration for Chef Amy Brandwein’s menu at Centrolina. The Osteria features a frequently-rotating menu, comprised of traditional Italian categories such as antipasti, pasta, a lenga (from the terracotta-clad wood oven), contorni and dolce. For this 90/90 dinner, Centrolina will offer a special 4-course dinner.

For one night only at Briscola, Chef Silvia Barban and friends will prepare a five-course dinner. She will be cooking alongside Chef Mavis Jay Sanders, Chef Gerald Sombright, and Bilena Settepani. This special evening will celebrate their love for cooking as they create a menu inspired by their childhoods, their connection to Italy, and their admiration for Jacques Pépin and his mentorship.

River Bar has joined the Jacques Pépin Foundation as an official host of one of Jacques’ 90th birthday celebrations in the Jacques Pépin Foundation’s 90/90 Dinner Series fundraising campaign! We are beyond excited that Jacques will be joining us for this event! And for this celebratory dinner, Chef James Wayman has created a menu that highlights our local farms and providers.

Fiola is honored to host a 90/90 dinner for the Jacques Pepin Foundation. Fiola's dinner will be a collaboration between Chef/Owner Fabio Trabocchi and Fiola Executive Chef Antonio Mermolia. Chefs Trabocchi and Mermolia will prepare an exquisite tasting menu for the evening featuring fine ingredients. The menu will be paired with wines from Fiola's Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning list.
